Parker starts Kindergarten!!!

Today was Parker's frist day of kindergarten!!! What a bitter sweet day. I am so excited that he is going to school and that he is so excited to learn and grow, but so so so sad that my baby boy is growing up to fast. I have always heard people say "they grow up way to fast", but didn't realize how true that statement really is. I honestly feel like I just had him. Where has the time gone!!! But he is such a great kid and so smart and ready that I am really excited for him. I felt like it was my first day of school. I could hardly sleep last night!!! Parker is excited to make friends and is excited to have Miss Hardy as a teacher!!! Love love love this kid!!!

Seven Peaks!!

We bought the pass of all passes this year and have enjoyed doing many activities as a family. Our favorite has been Seven Peaks. The kids love it!!! It is so fun to see the kids on the slides. Parker loves the tube slides and enjoys going on them by himself He also loves the lazy river because he doesn't have wear a life jacket in it because he can actually touch!!! Maelie's favorite is the wave pool and could spend all day in there if we let her she also enjoyed the kids pool. We tried to go weekly with Bryan's Sister Sara and her Husband Chad. The kids love hanging out with them!!! Jentry also tagged along but was just content to lay on a towel and watching all the people!!! We had a blast!!! It was a fun activity that we all enjoyed!!!

Camping

This past weekend we went camping up American Fork Canyon!!! It was so much fun and so beautiful. We didn't exactly rough it though. We took a motor home (Or motor boat as Maelie calls it).  The kids were so excited to go camping in a motor home. You would have thought it was Christmas the way they were acting. We had taken the motor home camping a few years ago up to Island park and it cost us so much in gas we decided to go closer this year. American Fork Canyon is so pretty and it has plenty of things to do. We took the kids and the dog fishing, this only lasted about an hour, they didn't have the patience to sit and wait for a fish. We never did catch one, maybe because Maelie was so tired of waiting she decided it would be more fun to throw big rock in the water!!! The kids had a blast just playing in the dirt and collecting rocks and sticks. They were filthy. The had these big porta potties that scared me to death when I put Maelie on it. She was so little on it that I held on to her for dear life so she wouldn't fall in. In fact Parker told me that the only thing he didn't like about camping was the big potty because he was afraid he was going to fall in. Can you imagine loosing your kids down a porta potty into a big pile of poop. Yeah could have done without that. But we did have a lot of fun. In fact my mom and dad and sisters family came up Friday evening (since they literally live 10 minutes from the canyon) to enjoy some smores. Smores are my favorite part of camping. I love them. But we had a good time sitting around the camp fire chatting. It was nice to get away and enjoy some family time!!!
