My baby is 2!!!

I am a little behind but last week Maelie turned 2 years old. I can't believe how fast is has gone!!! She is getting so big and so funny. She talks non stop and is a little sassy pants. We had a big family birthday party for her. We started off the night with a birthday dinner to Red Robin, we then had all the family over to our house for cake and ice cream. Once again aunt Squirt (Elisha) pulled off and awesome cake. Maelie wanted a barbie cake and Aunt squirt did a fantastic job (even if she did have to amputate barbies legs below the knee to fit it her in the cake). So thanks a bunch Squirt!!! She got spoiled rotten from everyone and she loved everything she got. She is such a girly girl, she was so excited when she pulled out clothes and shoes!!! It was a fun night!!! Here are some of her favorites at this time in her life.

favorite friend: Parker and Carson
Favorite food: Veggies or candy
Favorite Movie: Barbie movies or little mermaid of princess and the frog
Favorite Color: Pink
Favorite toy: Barbies and babies
Favorite book: Any just wants you to read to her
Favorite thing to do: Follow mommy around and do everything she does!!!

She is such a joy in our family and she for sure keeps us on our toes!! We love her very very much. Also I took her in for her 2 year old appt and boy was it an experience. She HATES the Dr. and nurses or anybody who wears scrubs!!! She wouldn't let them measure her so I had to hold her down, then they wouldn't let her weigh her so I had to hold her and get on the scale weigh both of us and then weigh just me, let me tell you it was awesome!!!! She freaked out when the Dr checked her over and don't even get me started when we had to give her shots!!! It was an experience for sure. But she is just a tiny little thing. She weighed 21 pounds so she is still in the 1% she is in the 50% in height and about the 35% for head. But boy she makes up for all of it in attitude!!!

Arbor Day Contest

Every Year Murray City Does and Arbor day art contest. All the kids in the Elementary and pre-school get to participate. They turned in their painted, drawn, colored pictures to the city and they choose one person from every grade from every school. Then the take about 10 from the 50+ students and see who would win at a City level. If they win at City level they plant a tree in the City with a plaque of the students name and year they won. Well Parker won the contest from his school and he won at a city level. He has a tree planted in his name at the nature center in Murray. It was a really neat thing and he was really excited. They had a big program for all the winner and presented them with awards and had a big lunch for them and the parents. We took him over to see his tree and he asked where the shovel was? I asked him why? He said "We need to dig it out so I can take it home." It was pretty funny. We explained that is had to stay there but we could come back and see it whenever we wanted to. Here are some pictures. It was a really really cold day so we don't have a ton.

Easter pictures I forgot I took!!!

Here are more pictures of Easter. Bryan and I dyed eggs with the kids. They loved it!!! We only dyed about 10 eggs but that was more than enough for us. The night before Easter The kids got to plant magic Jelly beans to see what would grow and be waiting for them in the morning. Little did we know it would snow that night, but to their delight the magic Jelly beans grew Easter Bunny heresy kisses!!! Parker thought that this was the coolest things ever. The Easter Bunny also left them a ton of prizes, Movies, ponies, capes, candy, cameras, abc fridge toys etc... I think They had a Great Easter!!!
