Christmas 2013

Although Christmas came really fast this year it was a good one!! I love Christmas and I get so excited for it to come and then I am so sad when it is over! This year we started with a Christmas Eve Party with Bryan's side of the family. We all met at Nicole and Alans for a big Christmas dinner, Dance Party, Pool Party (not swimming the game) and a present exchange. We always have such a good time visiting and just having a ton of fun. But like always I forget my camera on this day so I have no pictures. Maybe next year!!

That night when we got home my little family Watched the Nativity, Talked about the true meaning of Christmas, Opened up Christmas Jammies and then got ready for bed. The kids all slept in Jentry's room and they wanted Bryan to build them a fort! They were so excited, but so exhausted that they fell asleep in minutes!! I on the other hand was soooo excited I couldn't sleep hardly at all. Bryan and I woke up at 7 and finally around 7:40 we had to wake the kids up. I couldn't wait any longer! haha.
We hurry and got ready and around 8 the Grandparents came to watch the kiddies open presents. My personal favorite tradition that we have is the Jesus Gift. The first present the kids have to open in a gift to remind them of the savior and then we talk to them about how important it is to remember the savior at Christmas time. We then have a Prayer and then we continue on with the other Christmas stuff. The kids made a haul this year! They got everything they wanted and more. Here are a few things they each got..

Parker Got Baptized!

On December 7th Parker was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. It was such a neat experience. He was so excited and so nervous at the same time. It was so neat to have his family and friends come to support him. It was so neat to see his dad baptize him. I cried as I watched my Wonderful husband walk my son into the water. I am thankful that my husband is a worthy priesthood holder and that he had the oppoutunity to baptize Parker.  Parker is such a spiritual little kid. He has such a strong testimony for an 8 year old. He is such an example to Me, His dad and his sisters. We had a lot of our family participate in his program. Aunt squirt (lead the music) and Aunt Sara (piano) did the music. Grandpa Dan and Kevin said the prayers. Grandma Jeri (Baptism) and Jan (Holy Ghost) did talks and Uncle Chad and Scott were the witnesses. I also got to do a spot light of him. I can't believe that time has flown by and my baby is now 8. I know that he is excited to have the Holy Ghost with him and to guide him and I know that he will listen to that spirit in all that he does. Bryan and I feel blessed that we are his parents and we are so thankful that Heavenly Father gave us this sweet little boy to raise. We love you and are so proud of you Parker.
